Our Favorite White Sangria Recipe

You’ll love this fresh fruity white sangria Apples, peaches, vanillas, mosto and risling. This white wine sangria is almost too good.

Not only is this white sangria recipe extremely delicious, it is also easy to make! The biggest thing to remember is that this (and all) Sangria will get better over time. Up to 2 days in advance. The flavor keeps the building and the sangria is getting better and better.

If you have never had white wine sangria before, this recipe is what started. We call for two wines in the white sangria recipe: Mosto and a once-dry Riesling. The combination makes Sangria so delicious (trust me!). If you like Sangria, you can also enjoy our Red Sangria or this Peach Sangria!

Key Ingredients

  • Moscato wine: For this sangria we recommend the Italian Moscato d’Asti. It is known for its pleasant fruity and floral scent and has a subtle sweetness. You can find quality bottles under $15. If you want to use only one type of wine, two bottles of Moscato produce a sweeter, low alcohol sangria.
  • Riesling wine: To balance the sweetness of Mosto, choose a camouflaged Riesling. These wines have a fresh acidity that can supplement fruit. Many Riesling bottles are marked with a sweetness scale, indicating sweetness level. Look for the “Medium” to “Dry” option. If it is not available, check the alcohol content on the label. As a general guide, 11-12.5% alcohol will be enjoyed, while less than 11% alcohol will be sweet. If you choose Riesling-only sangria, you may want a little sweetness. Consider adding a tablespoon of honey or agave nectar to taste.
  • Brandy: This adds some informative information to my favorite Sangria. It does increase alcohol content, so if you are looking for lighter/less alcoholic beverages, consider reducing or omitting this.
  • fruit: We like to divide the apples and peaches (or divide some thawed frozen peach slices) and throw some colored raspberries. You can always bring the fruit you add to Sangria with you. Pears, apricots, nectarines, blueberries, strawberries and orange slices are all great choices. This is your sangria, so please add something you like.
  • vanilla: Moscato and Reisling already have a hint of vanilla flavor, so we touched it with some vanilla extract.
  • Soda: Optional too! If you like a blistering cocktail, separate the sangriayaya dress and sprinkle the glittering water between the glasses. You can even use flavored water like peach, strawberry or lime!
White Sangria

Our favorite white sangria wine

This white sangria recipe uses two wines: fruity, floral and slightly sweet Mosto and a undressed Riesling. Riesling’s acidity perfectly balances Mosto’s sweetness with the fruits in Sangria. You can find quality bottles per bottle for $15 to $20.

Remember, Sangria is very adaptable! Feel free to adjust any ingredients you like – replace, replace, double or omit. After all, this is your sangria! If you find it isn’t sweet enough, add a tablespoon of honey or agave nectar to taste.

Adam and Joanne’s Tips

  • Moscato suggests: Looking for the mostans made in Italy with the word “Moscato d’Asti” on it. These are usually cheap, effervescent and very delicious.
  • Riesling’s advice: Looking for dry rislings or people with a listed alcohol percentage of 11 to 12.5. We especially like the rieslings in Washington State.
  • replace: Moscato and Riesling aren’t the only effective wines. Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc and sparkling wines can also work. You may find that if you want, you need to add some sweetness, keeping the honey or tequila on the sangria.
