- flour: This recipe uses all-purpose flour and has not been tested with various other flours.
- yeast: Active dry and instant yeast can be used interchangeably for this recipe, although instant yeast will make the dough rise.
- sugar: In addition to activate yeast, sugar also sweetens these garlic dinners and helps brown.
- Eggs and butter: A large egg is used as a binder and the butter adds a rich flavor. If using unsalted butter, add a little extra salt to the dough mixture.
Variations: Make a cheesy rosemary garlic roll and cut the salt with grated parmesan cheese in step 5. Rolls can also be added with poppy seeds or everything bagel seasoning for added flavor. If you prefer a mild herbal flavor, you can swap it with dried parsley.






Store dinner rolls
- Store the remaining rolls in a covered container for up to 4 days at room temperature.
- Freeze the cooled rolls on a baking sheet and transfer it to a zipper bag. They are best used within 3 months. Let them thaw at room temperature.
- Freeze unbaked rolls on a baking sheet and transfer them to a zipper bag for up to a month. Let the rolls melt in the refrigerator in the baking tray overnight and allow them to rise at room temperature. Bake every recipe.

Garlic Dinner Roll
Fluffy yeast rolls get extra flavor from garlic powder and aromatic herbs.

Prevent the screen from becoming dark

In a bowl of a stand mixer with dough hooks, mix together water, sugar and yeast. Let stand until yeast bubbles (about 8 minutes).

Add 1 cup flour, beaten eggs, melted butter, salt, rosemary, garlic powder and thyme. Mix at low points until mixed. Add flour at one time until the dough is soft and not sticky. Knead in the mixer for 5 minutes (see notes without the mixer).

Divide the dough into 9 even numbers and then form a ball. Place in paint on a grey-coated pie board and cover with parchment paper and kitchen towel. Let rise for 70 to 90 minutes, or until double the size.

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

If using egg washing, stir 1 egg with 1 tablespoon of water and brush over the rolls. Sprinkle with flakes of salt if needed.

Bake on a center rack for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the top is rolled golden brown.
- To mix by hand, mix a little with a wooden spoon until your soft dough is not sticky. Knead on the surface of light flour for 10 minutes.
- The volume will reach 190 in 190℉.
- Store the remaining leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to five days or freeze in a zipper bag for up to three months.
- You can also freeze the dough before the initial rise. Thaw in the refrigerator, then raise at room temperature and bake as directed.
